The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed on July 26, 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law ensuring equal opportunity for people with disabilities in all aspects of public life. It prohibits discrimination in employment, transportation, public accommodations, and government services.![]()
Come celebrate the ADA with CORD, Spaulding Rehab's Adaptive Sports Center and Mass Audubon on July 29th from 4 pm - 7 pm at the Mass Audubon Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary at 345 Bone Hill Road in Cummaquid.![]()

Celebrating 36-years with the Americans with Disabilities Act![]()
Celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at the 2026 Cape Cod ADA Day Celebration at Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary on Wednesday, July 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. This free, fully accessible event—hosted by Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers in partnership with Mass Audubon and the CORD—invites all to explore Mass Audubon’s interactive All Persons Trail through guided tours, connect with local organizations at a vibrant community resource fair, and experience hands-on demonstrations of adaptive equipment and technologies. An Ice Cream Truck will be joining us, serving up frozen treats for everyone!![]()

"Seeking Disabled Adults for a Research Study about Sex Education
This study explores the recalled sex education experiences of disabled people who grew up with the A.D.A. and I.D.E.A. in the United States.
You will be asked to fill out an anonymous online survey. The survey takes 10-20 minutes to complete.
To participate:
You must be 18 years old or older.
You must be born after 1989.
You must be able to read and write English. You can do this on your own or with the help of an assistant.
Have one or more forms of disability.
You must have been disabled before you turned 19.
You must have learned sex education while you lived in the United States.
You must have been homeschooled for less than half of your K-12 education.
