WRAP workshops – May & June Schedule

Wednesday May 17th – Staying safe while looking for work & on the job
Learn how to be safe while using employment sites such as monster.com and indeed.com, when attending networking events and going to interviews. Learn how to be safe while working.
Thursday May 18th – Career exploration
Identify career interests by using the Pathful assessment tool.
Wednesday May 24th – Workplace etiquette
Learn how to communicate at work, interact with co-workers and supervisors and understand the unwritten rules of behavior on the job.
Thursday May 25th – W-4, I-9? What’s that?
Learn about new hire paperwork you need to fill out when you get a job.
Wednesday May 31st – Facing discrimination? Rights violated? What you should do!
Learn the steps to take when your rights have been violated.
Thursday June 1st – Dress for Success
Dressing for work is different from dressing for school or going out with your friends. Learn what’s appropriate and what is not.
Wednesday June 7th – Budgeting 101
Learn about basic money management concepts and budgeting.
Thursday June 8th – Road to work
Technical high schools, technical college, college, apprenticeship, supported employment programs and more. Learn the different career pathways you can take.
Wednesday June 14th – What should your school be doing to get you ready for work?
Learn how to review your IEP or 504 plan to see if your vocational goals are being met.
Thursday June 15th – Exploring the labor market
Learn how to look at the types of jobs that are available and how to use this information while looking for work and planning your career.
