WRAP Workshops – February Schedule
CORD’s Work Readiness and Preparation (WRAP) offers pre-employment skills training to youths with disabilities ages 14 – 21 who are in high school or college. Check out the schedule below. All workshops will be held at CORD’s office from 4:00 – 4:45. If you are unable to attend in-person, please contact us for options.

Tuesday, February 1 – Staying safe while looking for work & on the job
Learn how to be safe while using employment sites such as monster.com and indeed.com, when attending networking events and going on interviews. Learn how to be safe while working.
Thursday, February 3 – Career exploration
Identify career interests by using the Virtual Job Shadowing assessment tool.
Tuesday, February 8 – Workplace etiquette
Learn how to communicate at work, interact with co-workers and supervisors and understand the unwritten rules of behavior on the job.
Thursday, February 10 – Why work?
Learn about the value of working to reach financial goals and about budgeting money.
Tuesday, February 15 – Goal setting
Learn how to create a manageable roadmap to achieving their professional goals.
Thursday, February 17 – Networking
Learn about the importance of networking when looking for a job.
Tuesday, February 22 – Employment rights of people with disabilities
Know your rights! Employees with disabilities have rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Learn about your rights and responsibilities.
