Shopping That Supports Your Neighbors

Interested in supporting your community while finding new treasures for your home? CORD has a new virtual thrift store where you can do just that! Take a peek at our Facebook page and click on “groups” to find CORD Thrift. You’ll find a wide variety of items looking for new homes. Many of the items are new and never used. Once you arrive at our virtual thrift shop, you’ll find that items are grouped by donation amounts. In exchange for your donation to our Mobile Food Pantry, you’ll be able to choose an item in the category that matches your donation amount. We have many wonderful items in the $20 and up category. You’ll find furniture, kitchenware, technology and so much more.

Kathleen Thompson of Hyannis visited CORD Thrift during its opening weekend in September and was pleasantly surprised to find something she had searched everywhere for – an antique croquet set. Kathleen shared, “I have searched everywhere for one of these and had no luck. I was so pleased to find one just like the one my mother had when I was younger. Supporting a wonderful cause at the same time is icing on the cake!” Other shoppers have shared similar experiences and expressed gratitude at being able to support their community while shopping. Your donation helps CORD deliver food across the Cape to our neighbors facing food insecurity. Whether you are in the need of something new for your home or just feel like doing some shopping, make CORD Thrift your first stop!
